Concilio CDS Inc. Civic Engagement’s component focuses on meeting the basic need of communities in New Mexico. Civic Engagement is where community members are engaged in helping others. Participants can then be part of a community for when they need help themselves. This concept recognizes that everyone has something to give, and that everyone’s time is valuable, and it builds resilience by fostering social support networks.
